Spare a thought for Rod Base, his wife and family this festive season

That is sad he hasn't been found yet. You have to wonder as he left in his ute. He can't be driving round and round, he would have run out of fuel a long time ago. Someone has to come across it somewhere.

There is a similiar case down here in Geelong. A young chap hasn't been seen for months, just walked out the door and disappeared, family have been on TV a number of times appealing for help.

Definitely not a way any of us would want our X'mas & New Year to be.

All we can do is give them our prayers or best thoughts for a resolution.

Geez! In a way this is worse than if he'd died! My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Thanks Gerty, I googled missing persons both the State and Federal sites and it is amazing the number of people that go missing every day.

Some of them are suspected of being murdered but no definite answers as no bodies or other clues located. And of course some have just taken off.

It's a scary world out there if you dwell on it too much.

I had an email from Robyn (Rob's wife) tonight, it has been 6 weeks now and still now word on his whereabouts, she thanks the GN community for keeping an eye out for him and his vehicle. cry
