new to camping, and loving it after some health issues and chemo behind me just every 3 months I need check ups 15months still going strong. and no cancer to be found we got a camper trailer we are doing up and we will be exploring wa.., we can only go away for a week or so at this time but we can do Cue,payne find . we got a minelab to do some gold finding... but I am reading all your travels and that will be us one day soon margie
Welcome to the forum Margie and Happy New Year, glad the treatment is under control.
Cue and Paynes find would be bit hot at this time of the year might be better in the cooler months. It's been about 47 degrees east of Meekathara (son working at a mine site near there) recently which is in that general direction.
If Chemo makes you more suceptible to skin cancers you would need to take precautions also.
Best wishes,
Vic

Welcome, Margie. We start our big trip around the Block in Feb. I would watch that crew from WA, Wombat and Co.But then you are also from WA. Seriously though, you will gleen a ton of information from here.Just sort through it and apply what suits you. I commend you for joining, so many just lurk and never come online. Enjoy and hope you post lots of questions.

Vic, Wombat has an apartment down his burrow for me, complete with 40in plasma TV, plus air con.If you can better that i could be tempted to change sides. I would not go so far as to say the dark side though.!!!!!
Welcome to the forum we are a friendly bunch who will always try to help in any way possible. with regard to your metal detector Minelab brand dont just go looking for Gold which is hard to find check out popular beaches and parks there are an amazing amount of coins etc waiting to be found, I use a Garrett Ace with quite satisfactory results.

the WA mob is getting quite substantial and not all of us are wacky. I stand out as a stunning example of one of the more serious and mentally stable nomads on this forum. I hope you enjoy your time in this very lovely and friendly asylum

we did a bit of detecting round Cue - great fun. One bit of advice, don't forget to get a permit, they are only about $25-30. and they last for life. We didn't have one and were told by some regulars on Cue caravan park that you could be fined a massive amount if you strayed onto a station without realising (which is very easy to do).
Good luck with the health, my hubby has just been told his visits are down to one every six months instead of three, great feeling.
thankyou all for your kind words, what a great group of people, can not wait to met you on the road, we will be going away in March to payne find cue , I hope it will not be to hot another couple will join us , so it should be great, hubby still working on tralier camper, Jean I can not wait to be told see you in six months from my dr,, only been 15 months so only a little more to the two year mark then I will be cut down.. margie
