Having a laugh is often good medicine. Agree? Bought myself a present for the festive season / New year. I've combined the two because I'm a slow reader so I'll start late December 2011 and finish january 2012, or so I thought. It got me in and I couldn't put it down - no good for those who can't sleep!
TITLE: "Men are stupid, women are crazy". Written by Peter Ruehl. $30 from Collins booksellers.
Mr Ruehl was a newspaper columnist in both the US and Australia(for the Financial Review). He covers three topic sections - Family,Life and Politics.
Don't buy this book if you - weren't born during WW11; didn't marry and have 2 or more kids; don't have a sense of humour ; don't like the odd snort or two or three etc. etc. etc.
Sounds good Sheeds, a bit out of my price range but the library may be able to get it in.
Another funny book but an old one is "The Moons a Baloon" by David Niven the actor (deceased now I think). One of his friends was Humphrey Bogart who features in the book as well.

Yes I read all of David Nivens books - there were 3 from memory - he seemed like a very intelligent and intersting person. I really enjoyed his self depreciating style.
Yes, I've read 'The moons a balloon', many years ago. Another good one is 'Parcel arrived safely, tied up with string' by Michael Crawford. Very funny. I've also read Lauren Bacalls book many years ago, but I can't remember the title.
Another of my favourites is the series about body language by Alan Pease.
Thanks sheeds, I'll see if the library has that one too.
