Might pay to get your axle checked to make sure it has no worn spring eye bushes, broken centre bolt in the spring or any thing else that would cause it to run untrue. More Wear on the curbside tyre is not unusual, its the tyre that cops the most harsh treatment but it is not normal to wear uneven. cheers blaze
Like Blaze says it's unusual to wear unevenly so somethings out of kilter.
Is your axle a solid bar(Round or Square) or a tube.
Possibly bent,possibly the bearings are worn more on one wheel than the other.
It is not too difficult to change the axle and wheels all in one go if you are mechanically minded.
You can go online and find the whole axle and wheel setup all in one just unbolt and replace with new for under $500.Depending on transport costs to get the stuff to where you are.
My mate did his poptop just before Xmas for $380 but it was a shorter axle than most and sourced locally.He also changed from a tube axle to a solid bar axle as well.
It's not a really big job to do but what the pro's want may be exhorbitant.
had my axle replaced last year in pop top new axle brakes @ hubs to fit 16 inch wheels 600 dollars fitted but i would swap tyres side to side to even out the wear till you can get it checked
