I haven't had much chance to get online, but I'm home now, so a lot of catching up to do.

I'm looking forward to meeting anyone and everyone at Cobb & Co, for whatever time you can join us.

Well my plans have gone awry. I've recieved my long awaited hospital aapt for Friday the 11th May! Great timing..not!

It's for a Colonoscopy, so a light anesthetic is needed, which means no driving until Sunday. And then there's the nuisance of having to have someone pick me up afterwards and stay with me overnight.

Lulu is still at my sisters at Cooloola Cove and I had planned to go there earlier that week to get her all spiffy for Cobb & Co. I can't leave all the work for bil & sis!

Never mind, I'll still be there on the 14th!

Don't worry too much about having someone stay with you. I had my neighbour pick me up after mine. Told the hospital Yes someone was staying with me overnight and left.
Nobody stayed with me, I made sure I didn't do anything except make a meal and a cuppa and the next day was all good.

I guess I could. But you know how unco I am Marj...a few years ago, on the day after the procedure, I tripped and fell flat on my face, blood nose and all. I was thankful that a friend was with me to help me up, put a cold compress on my nose etc.

disbelief

3.

I'm booked for arrival on the 14th, haven't decided how long I'll stay.

Hey if we run out of camping funds, we could always do a convoy over to my sisters at Tin Can Bay! biggrin

I'm sure they'd love to have a gang of us lob up in their front yard!

They're actually hoping to come over for a few days too. smile

Billeeee and I called int o have a look at the Cobb & Co 9mile campground yesterday - llooks like a good place = plenty of room - just had a quick look - wanted to get back on the road. A few people staying there at the moment. When you turn into Tandur Road, opposite the Matilda Service Station on the highway - it is a fairway down a partially tarred road, and the gravel road is not too bad at all. There are no signs until you get right down Tandur Road - none at the corner opposite the servo.
We will be there for a bit, not sure how long, or even when at this stage.

Looking forward to meeting some more GN's - got three arriving here on Thursday, yahoo!! - Shadyandme, Nu One, and Jonathan!!!

I'm glad you popped in for a look Jules...I didn't get a chance while passing last week. I was wanting to check the road after the rain...good to hear it's okay.

Looking forward to seeing you again, as well as your cohorts! wink

Yes - the road was ok - few potholes, but the Starship handled them ok - and a list would be good.

Make sure you have some warm things with you. Gympie area can get mighty cold at night, even in May.

I sadly have to withdraw from this meet . Family commitment for May but I will be heading off late June and want to be at my sisters at Bribie for end of August so if there is anything happening up north over that time I would love to know about it. I am truly sad to miss the meet but other matters and people are more of a priority at this time. I hope you all have a wonderful time and I will be thinking of you all.

Enjoy

Tess

That's why I suggested May instead of June Jules.

I don't know that it will get that cold Marj. And besides, from my experience with Victorians, you lot probably won't think it's cold anyway. My dil's parents live in Sunbury, and always sling off at me when I reckon it's cold.

Thought you might have been. wink

I like this time of year, when the days are lovely and warm without being hot. And as long as I have warm gear for sitting out in the evening, and Asthma under control, I'll be in my element! smile

14th, 15, 16th, 17th 18th. smile

I'm so happy to be going!!!

I had an accident a couple of weeks ago and have damaged my left arm. As a result, I now have bicep tendonitis. The Dr says that it will take from several weeks to a few months to clear....but meanwhile, I can't drive the van because I'm not allowed to put any pressure on my arm...such as changing gear.

I rang Sean at Cobb & Co and he has very kindly given me a single rate to stay in one of the luxury tents....so it's all good!! Woo! Hoo!

See ya' there. Cheers. smile

Hi Guys & Gals,

As we too have family commitments later in May, thought we might 'blow in/blow out' for the day on Tues 15th - looking forward to meeting some of you that we 'met' on the forum.

Pete & June.
