I can't wait to get my Lulu back Marj, so I can pop out somewhere when I feel like it. Did you see the pictures of Lulu on FB?

Good thinking Ron, I wouldn't want to be on the train late at night either.

Roulettes and Airforce jets overhead this morning, didnt have to be in Commonwealth Park to enjoy it.

Its Mr D's birthday today (he always says how nice it is to have a public holiday for his birthday) so we are gonna have a roast dinner and Pavlova... messing around with the pav in between playing on the puta. Lovely day in Canberra.

Well I've done my dash in the garden. Now dripping wet even though the sun is shining and its stinking hot. Thats enough for me today. My gauge is saying 32 degrees.

I am staying in airconditioned comfort today. The forecast for Perth is 41 degrees, and this wuss is staying out of it altogether.

Well I'm a bit peeved! My kids have deserted me! There's a street party that eldest son and family are involved with, daughter is in NSW for a wedding, and 2nd son is working!

I suppose I could have checked to see what my brothers are doing, but just decided to stay home and sulk! cry

So have mine Beth. Thats why I'm in the garden.
Could have gone out to Greens Lake but decided the crowds would be huge out there today. Will pop out tomorrow for a couple of days.

.. and I enjoyed the pleasant company of Cate (Campfire) at the "Golden Fiddle Show" at the Tamworth Town Hall today .. and the culmination at shows end was some 25 'fiddlers' jamming it up on stage together !

Superb display .. Superb Australia Day !  .. and thanks Cate ..

I'm settled into the van aircon. Too hot in Adelaide, but might go for a swim in the park pool. Still not 100%, but will struggle on.
I have a coffee "date" tomorrow arvo.
It should be beautiful evening on the Swan at Freo. I want to be there, but then I'd miss my date.
There could be a fireworks display on the Port River which we can see from the park.
Have a great day everyone. Be proud!

Does that mean I have to lock the hubs on my thongs when I came to Qld and NE NSW?
The ground hasn't had time to dry out from the floods prior to Christmas and now everything is flooded again.
Has anyone told the weatherman that the wet season is north of Rockhampton?
Well, what are you Queenslanders waiting for? Get out there and fill him in on the details of Australian climate.
North hto and wet, south summer and dry.

No, my bil posted photos of Lulu on FB and I 'shared' them so a few others, who aren't friends with him, could see them too.

I had taken some photo's while I was there, but must have had the settings wrong, because they were blurry.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Eastern Beach, Geelong. Took my hubby, daughter and grandaughter with me. Wandered along the beach - Clare (my 19 month old grandaughter) absolutely loved the water. Took her for her first ride on a carousel. She loved riding on the "G G's". Then we enjoyed a yummy icecream and have only just returned home in Hoppers Crossing. We had an absolutely fantastic time.

That carousel is beautiful isn't it Sue.
Thats where I was staying last week, just past the jetty with the restaurant, heading away from where you were.
