SA didn't have any convicts. Blue-blooded Poms and Germans settled this state.
Every Crow-eater since Light and Hindmarsh have reminded us of that!
PS: Don't tell those Mexicans but you Crow-eaters were the first to successfully cross the continent from South to North and return. (You had the good sense to select a Scotchman instead of an Irishman to lead the expedition)

Somewhere north east of the Channel Islands, apart from those two extra ships with the Froggies in them, they came from somewhere SE of the Channel Islands.

Eleven boats have arrived off the east coast of New South Wales! Seven of them are full of crims, misfits and general low-lifes!
Yes, our West Australian Navy consisting of eight tinnies with outboards intercept them off our WA coast now and give them a map to the east coast and send them on their way.

Even this discussion makes Australia unique. Keep up the freedom folks. SA didn't have any convicts. Blue-blooded Poms and Germans settled this state. I'm of the German line. Genetic Lutherans. Every colony/state has it's good side and not so good side. We are free to choose how we decide that issue. We are free to choose the places to enjoy or t choose the places to avoid.
I'm interested in the fact 2 members have used the same landmark of the Pilbara as their avatar. Now that's Australian too.

Curse that Cook and Banks! They said this was a good place for convict dump. No fresh water! no edible feed for the sock, dirt wouldn't grow anything! Better have a look a bit further north.
Landfall, in one way or another many of us are descendants of boat people. Honest, hard-working determined boat people, settling and making a new life in a new world in a new country. If only we could pass that philosophy and value on to those who follow us.
