I was a ten pound pom (did anyone see the docco the other night), So definitely a boat person.

Missed the docco Troopy.   Great photo by the way, when was that taken and where, also did the caravan make have a name or was it home made?

To be honest, I don't really know the people in the photo, only that they are rellos from my Grans side of the family. The photo was amongst her photos that were handed down to me, and was probably taken in the 50's. The caravan looks like an old bondwood job and what amused me was the chimney sticking out the top.

Yes, would have to agree Troopy, the clothing and hairstyle of the lady looks to be about 1950's.   Also in the early era some caravans did have chimneys (fireplaces) in them.

Not wanting to hijack the Thread, but a quick update on the pic. It was taken in England in 1961 and somewhere close to London. I have verified this from another 2 photos taken on what looks like the same holiday, and at least one of them probably on the same day. I still don't know the people apart from their first names written on the back of one of the photos, or any other info surrounding my avatar pic unfortunately.
Cheers
