Hi all, just had a phone call from RACV complaints section, they agree something has gone terribly wrong their end and quickly looking at things, their call center staff might need some extra training and the depot in question is being looked at too. It seems there are a few week links.
They are going to fully investigate my call and the GM will get back to me in writing.
No offer of a free year's membership though. Glad I'm not holding my breath waiting on that one, although it would be good.
Still at least they have responded and agreed something is wrong.
I will keep you posted.

I would settle for a year free membership wombat but I like the sound of the round the world trip. With my luck though they would probably put a map of the world on the floor and tell me to walk around it.
