Different places in different seasons... Kalbarri in the Spring wildflowers, the Bungles in winter, Canberra in summer, GOR in Autumn. Of course theres dozens of others....
Elliott Heads - out of Bundaberg - or Broome - or Kunnanurra - or anywhere in Victoria - or Cairns or - Lawn Hill - or Ningaloo Reef - or perhaps Eden - or beside the Gregory River - or Darwin - which one would I choose as my paradise - maybe even little old Boonah.

Absolutely anywhere that has wide open spaces or even some trees, a creek or river (maybe a lake), solitude, tranquility, a camp fire, good company to chat with over a drink, blue skies with maybe some fluffy clouds, a night sky filled with stars and no intrusive light to destroy the view and stable weather - a bit of rain or wind or cold every now and then is OK. The more of the above criterion I find at a place the better it is.
Sitting in the middle of 'outback' QLD/NSW/NT/WA with a huge sky and a far off horizon meets the criteria as well.
And there are so many places in Australia I have found have such attributes - and my intention is to keep finding more.
cheers
John

Have to agree with all of that John. Brings to mind somewhere in Min Min country in outback Qld. I've never seen such an amazing night sky!
I tried to think of my very favourite spot....but it was waaay too hard!! I have seen so many amazing places....mountains, waterfalls, rivers, beaches, little old country towns that are miles from anywhere, great people.....and I realised something that I think I've always known....AUSTRALIA is my paradise.
I've been lucky enough to see lots of places...but there are still so many left to see.
Five years ago i would have said anywhere with a water view weather it be Ocean .Lake or River or mountians all lovely green and carm ... But last year i fell in love with the outback ..... So now i cant decide ..I think i just love Australia

Without a doubt, the Kimberley Region. I live there, worked there and travelled around there. Anytime of the year. The wet for the impact on the country, the dry for the wildflowers and changes in the seasons. In fact paradise for me is anywhere I can be in peace and quiet with a pen in my hand, writing thoughts or whatever.

.. I'm like many here .. Last year I did the loop and found so may beautiful locations. The beauty of the Outback gets top billing from me but I also enjoy and appreciate the variety that I find in this great country .. as long as I'm able to keep visits into cities very short .. Inland on the Eastern Coast seems to occupy most of my time.
Anywhere we I can catch a decent fish for my supper, cooked on an open fire, with howie by my side, not freezing our butts off, and happy contented little doggies, and most of all both of us feeling well in body mind and spiritus.
