New sink and taps

I have just fitted a new sink (stainless) to replace the old plastic one. Also fitted a new mixer set to replace the old two taps. The funny thing was wile replacing the taps I also fitted to flex lines and the water tasted terrible. I ave just had the water flushung for about 4 hrs and now all is fine. The bad taste was coming from the new taps and flex pipes as it was ok elsewhere.

cheers

We never know what they make these things from and obviously they affect the water for a while.
I had a leaky line to the tap last week. The gymnastics of squeezing and wriggling my shoulders and arms into the cupboard, while wriggling and writhing on the floor, resulted in teaching me my arms aren't long enough to reach the back of the cupboard where the leaky pipe was. However, my antics would have provided an entertaining spactacle for anyone watching from next door.
I called on the services of a chivalrous male with longer arms, and a vice grips, to assist. Between us we fixed it.
Damn caravans! They're built from the inside, and repairing anything in a squeazy orifice proves to be a physical and mental hazard.
I hope you made sure everything under and behind the sink is tight and well sealed to avoid having to perform a replication of my gymnastics.
My biggest indignation was, not having to call on the services of a bloke, but that my arms are too short. Bugger!

I'm glad you were entertained Doug. When I'd recovered from my frustration of not being able to get into the cupboard I did see the funny side.
I enlisted the assistance of a neighbour who seemed to enjoy being helpful. I have a box of chocs waiting delivery when he gets home.
Now, apart from fixing the caravan plumbing, .... that's CARAVAN plumbing, what are blokes good for again?

Didn't need a bloke to do that, just someone with longer arms.

You're right Chi Chi. The only problem with that is all the girls who live near me have short arms too.
Bummer!

Great that your CARAVAN plumbing is now working Chrissy. I'm sure it was a team effort. The choc's will be good over a cuppa and a chat.

Job well done.

I'm not sure he'll share them, but I'll offer the cuppa and see what happens.
Plumbing now in good order and condition.
Last night the AC decided to misbehave. I mucked around with the remote and still couldn't get things to function.
After a night's sleep I tried changing the batteries in the remote as a last resort. Worked like a treat.
It was unexpected because the aircon has only been in for about 3 months. Anyway, all good now.

OMG Blaze, you start a simple topic on a kitchen sink and then the opposite sex take over and drag it down to the depths of denigrating us males. I think thats a horrible thing they have done. But then, maybe I don't think that until I get Mas approval to do so...

Ok, I'll get back on topic.
The sink in our van leaked from day one, and eventually we got it fixed under warranty... apparently there was a piece missing, or not correctly positioned or sealed around the plug-hole. It was so easy to fix, makes us wonder why they didnt build it properly in the first place!
And yes the water tastes much better when thoroughly flushed thru those new pipes. I find I need to run the tap each time we take the caravan out after storage.

I know some blokes who not only have short arms but long pockets too!  Especially when it's their turn to shout.
