Well it doesn't look like any of you are even going to have a guess at what you are supposed to be listening for so I guess I will just have to tell you.

The old saying goes: IT'S NOT OVER TILL A CERTAIN LADY SINGS and I'm singing up a storm.

We are in Devonport and will board the boat to go back to Australia in the morning.

Tassie is a great place, very scenic and people are exceptionally friendly.

We have had a great time with only a couple of negative days (on my part, midgies etc) and I am really pleased we took the extra time to have a look around.

Thank you to all the people we have met and the fellow nomads who extended their hospitality. Your friendships mean a lot and will endure.

Having said all that and it is with sincerety, I am ready to go home.

Only have 5 weeks before we are off again to Darwin and the West so have quite a lot of chores to be done before then.

Again THANKYOU TASMANIA AND THANKYOU TASMANIANS

Thats gorgeous! I was really sorry to leave Tas, we sat eating fish'n'chips accross from the Ferry while waiting to board, and thought what a wonderful trip this has been. Safe and smooth crossing Ma.

We did a night crossing, mostly because we didnt know where to spend the night before boarding. Both ways. We'd be better informed now, thanks to this forum, and save some $$$

Good luck with the calm crossing.
Be it ever so humble there's no place like home.
That's the advantage of travelling with my home. No matter where it's parked, it's home.
Then when I go on the job, it is nice to get home, although I love my camp set up. Comfy cosy.
Don't forget to present your passport and visa when you disembark.

That's not as silly as it sounds Chris. One day it will come to that.

One the way over we had to open the van a second time, after the quarantine people had a look, for the customs people to check for stowaways. I kid you not. Had to lift up the bed and open the shower door. I didn't mind in the least. Oh and they also looked underneath the tug and van as well.

So is there something we should know? Did you have alterior motives for such a long stay in Tassie?
Are tassies inclined to stow away with mainland travellers in their bid to escape and slip through the authorities?
Customs in Tassie? That's interesting. Quarantine I can understand. Did you stash cheese and spuds, or hemp illegally?

Thank you Jon and tell Hylda I appreciate the offer but to switch the kettle off and save some electricity.

This trip we won't be going north through your neck of the woods.

We are heading south west from Ulladulla to Ariah Park and then heading for Broken Hill then Pt. Augusta and up the middle to Darwin then eventually over to the west coast.

It took me awhile to get back here, but I would never suggest that Ma was windy! I might see her again one day and she might just pack a wollop!

I have fond memories of Tassie too, from many moons ago. Although mine was a fly/drive one of only 10 days, so maybe one day I'll get back there for a better look.

But for now, there's so many places that I haven't seen! smile

Hi Ma. Roger and I are off to Alice in a couple of weeks, via Mt Isa, Booroolooa, then out to Gem tree. Back home about 6 to 8 weeks after that. Hopefully, we'll be on The Stuart at the same time. Would love to catch up again. Got a loveeeerlyyyyyy bottle of red!!!
