Wallabadah

I,m at Wallabadah, with14 other rigs, and must say its a lovely spot. Theres even a couple from Magnetic island, and another from Townsville!Caught 3 carp from the little creek beside the camp area. There are showers in the toilets, but they are locked. Liverpool plains council run the place, and it would be nice if they had some sort of pay system for the showers. Still in all a nice spot. Store just up the road. Will do some exploring tommorrow. Bill

That's a very pretty area Bill, beaut little pub dating from the 1860s. Interesting tribute to the First Fleet in the park there. Take a drive up through Nundle to Hanging Rock up on the tops. Also Quirindi in the other direction.

One of our favourite stops spent a week in Jan 2010 sat in the creek spa in 38 degree temps.  Lovely.  Watched 2 removal trucks drive down the river just before the big waterhole.  Thought they wouldn't make it, perserverence.  Strange sight.

Glad to hear you're still enjoying, Bill. We really did appreciate the distance you drove to meet up with us in Canberra.

No worries. Greens lake was 770klms each way!Big distances don,t phase me as I usually go 800klms to go fishing in NT in OCT. I am at shebas lake up on the mountain aboveNumdle. What a lovely little town. Its off the beaten track ,so i suppose not many people get there. I will pick up my shirt another time. Hope to catch a trout for tea.Chaffey dam t,mrow. Bill
