How much bad luck can one grey nomad and one not so well wife have?

Well what can I say Briggspc, try and have positive thoughts, sometimes they do work. We have only been on the road 2 weeks and have had our share of bad luck with motor home problems. The last problem, we got stuck just out of Pt. Augusta with a air hose blown out and seeing as we have air brakes, we had no brakes. However on this vehicle we do have emergency air to get off road which was a blessing. So I hope that is our last problem for a while also. Take care and good health to you both.

Well something you don't want is brake trouble, travel safe and be well.

That's a real pain to lose your pictures. I've been there and done that too. All those memories gone. They're still in your head.
The only people in Hedland are there to work, except the locals, if you know what I mean.
They get huge ships in there every day, and there's usually a large fleet at anchor off the coast waiting their turn.
There's a lot of money in red dirt up that way.
Please take things slowly. No haste. Take your time and make sure you've done it properly the first time. By doing the jobs yourself you are saving a lot of cash, but are you? Breakdowns can be costly. Take your time, there's no rush. Stay safe.

Just checking. Are you sure it's the drive itself? Not the drives case electrics? This can be checked easily. David

When we pulled into the Port Hedland Caravan Park,  the manager jumped in quick. First words uttered were " Are you looking for a job?"

Our reply : "No, just a caravan site."

He was most disappointed.

There seems to be unlimited work over in the west.
A coleague in the pilot business is trying to convince me to head west again. I'm not making any rash, hasty decisions yet.
No rush.
You're lucky you got a site in that park. There's one at Hedland South but it wasn't very convivial last time I was there in 07.
The other South Hedland van park was taken over by a mining organisation for accommodation because no one (local owners) is releasing any land for development. The former detention centre is also mine worker accommodation.
Sorry for going off topic.
I can't help you with your air brake probs, but I wish you well.
And welcome to you Quietguy.

Yes we stayed in the Black rock van park South Headland and as we left the owner was filling the park up with brand new vans for workers coming into town! ( 1 month ago )
He also told me that if a cyclone comes they tell all the traveller's to move out, move to were?

Bad news Granny, the bad luck just keeps going on! I must have run over more than one china-man.

I am still smiling.biggrin
