I digress forum
Permalink Closed

Hi everybody,
I just wanted to alert you all to the fact that I have now created an “I digress …” forum page (the one that was going to be called fireside chat). This is the place where off-topic is on-topic and anyone can discuss anything (except no politics or religion, please! It just never ends well). I hope this will prove a popular addition to the forum and will allow people to engage in good natured banter and have fun to their heart’s content. Of course, all sections of the forum have always been relaxed and often humorous … and I am sure (and I hope) this will continue.  Ultimately though the main forum is broadly a place where people come to seek and give advice, exchange opinions, and share stories, about life on the open road … and to make friends with common interests. It is important though that we keep things in balance and I hope that ‘I digress …’ will enable us to do just that. Most importantly, I hope that everyone who visits the forum will be happy that they did so. And with those optimistic words, I declare the “I digress …” section officially open. Let the (fun and) games begin!

Sometimes when a thread digresses off the subjest, but stays in the approx area of discussion, it actualy comes up with some interesting facts.

Other times it digresses into pure crap.

Then again, it might digress into some good humuor.

All in all, a digression may or not be wandering on or off the subject?

It would depend on the author, would it not?

I see nothing wrong with the term "I Digress", I can't see anything peculiarly American about the phrase and if there is so what.

Jim

PS: I like the idea and commend Cindy for taking the initiative.

Make yourself comfy Jim, you'll probably have a permanent booking with that Wombat, and Vic and anyone who digresses in "I digress". Or is that transgress instead of digress? I suppose if you digress too far off topic you'll be transgressing. Mmmmm....
Food for thought, but that' probably fattening. Everything else is. Oops sorry, I'm digressing.

Lynette and Howard, Do such much admire your input towards the concerns of your banner.
Fortunately has never has an affect on me or my relatives, but do have a very close ole mate going thru regular testings..
Such an undignified procedure, but gosh! it does and can can lives.
Thank you for displaying the banner.

If you don't like it stay out.  Go to a religious and / or politcal forum to talk that crap.

All due respect, I think the main idea of the digress thread is too keep a lot of off topic stuff out of the serious caravanning threads.....I say most as some threads will flow and get back on track (see Cindy's introduction).

Cindy is adamant that no religious or political posts are made and likewise abuse of other members, so IMHO it is a good move and now those of us who like to crap on can within reason without disturbing genuine RV threads....sounds ok to me....

This is not the I Digress Forum. Even though it is starting to look that way. There is a special place for this digressing. Haven't you found it yet.

Going by the way this one is heading though I wonder how long before Cindy has to pull some into line,.
