my latest lay-buy

no Back riding my hobbie horse again.

I have just place a lay-buy for my next tank of LPG I am absolutely astounded at the current price of 90 cents per litre which is a jump of 35 cents in less than 12 months, I thought we were as a country trying to reduce carbon polution.

I was also trying to make my pension go further by using LPG but looks like my decision to invest in an LPG system was a bad decision I guess we live and learn as the oil companies rip it off us and still sell millions of tons overseas at give away prices. furiousfurious

sorry to hear that AT but fuel is going up all over Aus, I'm on diesel, suppose the cost of trucking stuff across the Nulla will go up as well.

Diesel used to be the cheapest fuel because it's the cheapest fuel to produce.
Now it's the most expensive fuel because it's the most popular and there's a greater demand, so they get more dollars quicker.
I don't think the oil industry gets the profits. The fuel distribution companies get the profits.
The price of a product no longer reflects the cost of production and distribution. It's called profiteering to get the biggest, quickest dollar at the expense of the silly consumer. That's you and I folks.
Now that gas is popular and there are more vehicles running on gas, up goes the cost and subsequently the profits, at your expense.
Sorry you wasted your money on the conversion. You meant well and your intentions were honourable.

I think gas will always be cheaper than petrol and diesel, but the way for gas to be economical is to have a LGI (liquid gas injection) system

I am in the Philippines at the moment and the price of diesel is $1.10 per litre, petrol about $1.50/litre
