van dilemma the plot thickens

just got of the phone to a person that works for the transport department and we were faxed a coppy of the rego papers that are on the way . and guese what the van cant even be towed by us as the weights are not corect from the builders plate to the rego papers . so there in for a bit of trouble from the transport dept and from me if i cant tow it they will have to supply trade plates or do it them selves . id love to be a fly on the wall when the owner of the van yard reads my email.

poor della is now thinking what else will go wrong

NO THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

JC.

So where are the consumer protectors in the caravan industry to keep these bast'ds honest?
Stick to you guns and fight like hell. It's your money honey.

Graeme

Did you say that it was a Retreat van?

We have just put an order in for a Retreat today at the Melbourne Show after annoying the owner for the past 3 years. He seems a very sincere person who is very proud of his product.

I know he has been travelling around to the various C&C shows and is flying off to Perth tomorrow, so keep him informed about the dealership and how they treat you because that is seems very important to him and his wife.

Hope all this isn't upsetting Della too much.

i dont think its the vans fault it cant talk . its the dealers that are at fault as soon as they have your money its look after your self . well ladies and gentleman it loos like they have (sorry ladies ) **** in there own nest i just got another email from transport dept O these poor silly buggers the compliance plate is to be left on the van ( i recon its in land fill by now)and with an upgrade in weight it has to go to them to be inspected after it gets another roadworthy . there are 2 other issues yet to be dealt with the gass leak i recon they will get out of that . and the electrical problem , well the safety council did turn up today they were here for 4 hrs 2 guys did a heap of tests even on the house but alas it was raining so couldn't do a full test but they did find a funny reading on a surge protector on the batterie charger . the sort that plugs into the power point and it wasnt australian standard so its gone and i have to wait to see if the problem still exists . so at least something is happening. i have written an email to the owner of brisbane rvs and if i dont get a response by saturday afternoon im going straight to fair trading and let them deal with it hopefully we can take it back for a refund (jk lol) and i will let retreat vans know what there dealers do to there customers

this is so frustrating , exhausting and disheartening not to mention how angry we are with the sales people this cant be doing dellas situation any good ether were still running a business and doing trips to bris hospital and day to day life .

You poor bugger! You pay good money, in good faith, for the van of your dreams, which has turned out to be a nightmare.
Crikey, who do they think they are to treat a customer like this? Well, word of mouth is the best ..... AND WORST kind of publicity.
Do your job Dibs. Spread the word about that dealership every chance you get.
You aren't slandering them, because you are speaking from your own personal experience.
Write a letter to the caravan mags as well. If they carry advertising from this mob they may be a bit more careful about who they take advertising money from.
Good luck with the refund. I really do wish you all the best and keep hammering them until you get your money back and you no longer have to worry about that van. You deserve a break.

yayyyyyyyy we had a call from the owner of brisbane rv;s today just as i was at my wits end
and almost in tears thinking about the whole thing, you are right he was in perth as well
and i must say he was not impressed at all with our email , or more should i say with what happened
to us and is happening, then i got a call from the guy at Burpengary he is coming between 2 and 3 today
which should be very soon and picking up the van and taking it away and righting everything that was
or is wrong ,so its not over yet.

We only hope we have everything sorted so no more stress, the man from brisbane rv brendon did
sound very genuine which is great as everybody we spoke to said oh yeah dont have to tell me anymore
have heard a lot about them , one guy even said you bought if from this dealer didnt you ? and we were
like how do you know and were told heard a lot about them.

But alas all is going to be very well i feel and apparently these guys at slacks creek are going to get a
talking to i hope so for there sake, anybody knows you dont white out on a rego document .
