Have you got neighbours or friends who would come in and open all windows once a week during the day for you.
I've done that in the past.

set some bowls of "dampsorb" and get someone to empty them monthly - available from hardware and supermarkets - leave wardrobes and drawers open

Hi, when we went away we did not have to think of this but with all the rain we have had and the humidity - well, yes, it is something to plan for. Sorry, I have no suggestions because never before had to consider it. hope someone comes up with a plan of action for you. cheers. rocket n strop

In Broome I set up pots of carb soda with carpet powder in the bottom of the cupboards. It absorbs the moisture and deodorises to avoid the musty smells.
I used take-away containers with holes in the lids. I believe it works like the moisture traps you can buy.
You can also use the concentrated fabric conditioner in the plastic pouches. They are the Cuddly Aroma Therapy pouches.
Just leave the pouches around the place. They come in a variety of non-invasive odours including fresh linen, jasmine & bergamont - you choose. They last for months, maybe years, the smell isn't overwhelming but very pleasant. Do not cut the pouch. Just put it where you want the deodorising affect and the smell penetrates the plastic pouch.
If there's no way to have the house aired while you're away this is the best I can suggest.
The worst of the wet weather should just about be over by the time you go, and it should be warmer when you return.
Have a nice trip.

Would a fan or something on one of those timers you plug into a powerpoint and allowed to turn on for a few hours a day help?

Cheers
