Just returned from having lunch with Kiwi as ,left here
raining got there sunny for the whole time i was there which
is only half hour down the road if that, lovely to catch up with them,
luckily that they said the 14th and 15th is two week days here i was
thinking it was the weekend and i was free to attend the meet up
but unfortunatley i will still be going through my radiation at that time so i have had to re email the people just now and book for the following weekend 19th and 20th so i am hoping a few stay on for a few days longer
and we can catch up then. just had the pa hospital call while i was out the social worker apparently wants to speak with me about how im going to travel to and from the hospital so tomorrow she will be calling back as she missed me .
Looking like maybe she might be concerned about the drive ,so thats good and not so good worse part is staying down in brisbane the whole week for what takes half an hour each day ,then the rest of the day in left to have to sit in the room and watch tv or get on the ipad 2 ,oh well guess it is better than being in hospital for that long hey .:)
Hi Della. Looks like you've answered my question from the PM. Glad that's getting sorted out. At least you don't have to be down there as long as my friends.
They are sooooooo homesick, [country people] and have been virtual prisoners down there, since the beginning of January. Can't just go sightseeing for a break, as they still have to be careful of infection, and have to stay within 7 mins. of the hospital at all times.
yeah sheba i cant imagine being in hospital that long 3 and ahalf weeks was enough for me,if i have to go down and stay down there it will be weird for only half hour of the day and then i have the rest of the day to myself ,guess thats what reading , tv and ipad are for .
Its strange as my niece was telling me her friend had Radiation and was kept in a room all on her own and if you visited (this was in hong kong) you had to don special gear and stuff.
so i find this all a little weird, cos they said to me i wont be radio active at all.
have written to boranda lodge today about a room for five days a week booking in on mondays booking our on fridays we figured we would get hubby to drive me down on mondays pick me up on fridays ,so the rest of the week he can work and if hes not he can come down and stay with me some of the nights got all my paperwork for the hospital claim part up to 30 a night for me and up to thirty anight when graeme or anybody stays with me, heidi (my daughter ) returning to uni before i go down and staying to live in melbourne with her partner cienan so i will miss her shes been with us for a short while and helping out when she can.
but she has to go and live her life as normal and i wouldnt want it any other way ,we have to go on with our daily lives like they used to be .
