i havent read all of the answers but i will say we had two nests in the van and used a mixture of borax and honey on a lid of a jar that seemed to fix em ,someone told me they take it back to the mummy ant and she eats it too and they get constipated well something like that and die, it worked for us no more ants in our van not that we have our van back as of yet ?.
i found some stuff on the net . the ants hallucinate and go back to the nest and start killing the nest of (hmmmm i want some of them drugs ) found it http://www.antbuster.com/product.asp check this out now to find out where to get it

It works using a spray unit. The stuff that comes out is safe around food and is the only product that can be used in industrial kitchens. It also works on all flying insects as well.
I hope it helps,
This is the same as the raid spray from the supermarket. Natural pyretherum. !!!!
Has automatic dispenser.

Apology for OT, but years ago a mate of mine was training to be a chef, so his wife and parents decided he could cook them a meal. While out with him getting food supplies we saw a tin of roasted ants from Japan, so bought them and put them in a stew he made.
Everything was going fine at the meal table with comments like, this is really nice, and then his wife spotted one and said...I think there's an ant in mine, well we cracked up and had to fess up, not very popular with his wife though.
