When in the Newcastle/Hunter area its worth a drive up to Mt Sugarloaf, acces from the Sydney/newcastle freeway onto the kurri kurri rd, short distance in & its sighn posted off to the left.
A short steep walk with a few steps from the carpark leads you to the veiwing area. There are picnic tables & amenties .
Great views over the Newcastle /Lake Macquarie area from Stockton Beach to Swanse in the south, & inland up the Hunter valley.
