I have just been away and tried the new mozzie patches. Not 100% convinced they work. We had heaps of mozzies to try them out on! I stuck one onto the bottom of my pants and stood near my husband. He was getting mozzies on his legs but I wasn't. But as for the 2 metre coverage? They were still biting me on my arms. I resorted to also burning 2 sandalwood sticks. And next day we went and bought some spray!
I haven't tried them because I'd be worried about the alergy factor. I tried pain management patches but I showed an alergy to the lowest dose so I gave them a miss. The vitamin B looks after me.

I've got the patches, used them in conjunction with the wrist bands. Put the patches on the brim of my cap, seemed to work ok. CG, you don't put them on your skin, must be put on a piece of clothing.
That's interesting, I actually thought the patches had to be on the body skin so the body heat helps release the repellent. Maybe they work ok on clothing but work better on the skin???

Yes, I used them on my clothing (make sure you can get the sticky bit off your clothes though) and on my chair. The citronella smell was quite strong for a while. I finally remembered I had a mixture of dettol, metho and baby oil and it worked well when I lathered myself with it! I saw the mozzies go to land and think twice! I take Vit B all the time but that doesn't help me.
Dare I make a point about another example of men not reading instructions?????
I stand corrected.
I don't read distructions Elle I havn't seen the patches and was only going by other sort of patches i.e. Chinese pain relief patches, they say to place on the skin for reasons mentioned above.

Was considering whether to purchase some, maybe with stick to spray. The mixture of detol, metho, citronella, baby oil works well, but hubby thinks we smell like a hospital. Lol

Anyone else have better luck with them?
if they are biting you on your arms it means that you are too tall, can I suggest when using them try sitting down then you will be within the 2 metre coverage area.
Very good suggestion Wombat - except I'm so short already I come in under the 2m range!! I almost come under the 1.5m range! Milo - at home we still use the good old fashioned mozzie coils. Think I should probably still be using them with the caravan too!
