I might have to sign some autographs, scan them and email upon request.
Nah, only joking.
Thanks everyone for your friendship and entertainment, oh, and information and advice. It's a great friendship, even if we have never met. I always feel I have met most of you at one time or another, and then, eventually I do meet you. I've never been disappointed.

I'd love to be able to read the Grey Nomad newsletter but it always comes up as an error. My internet browser can't read it in it's format. Anyone know why?

I don't know why, but I see you found out how to open it on the other thread. wink

I have a Google a/c and it will not open in that so I forward it to my Bigpond a/c's email address and it opens the PDF file fine in that, then I just save it to my hard drive.

You can link your normal email program (Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird etc) to your google email account. Alternately you can download it to your hard drive from Gmail using the appropriate right click menu item without having to email it to yourself. (details in a previous thread).

Digressing somewhat but I too have both a Google (Gmail) a/c and a normal email a/c. I use the Gmail for all my usual emails and keep the other a/c for "private" use only and I've never had any spam on that address.

I too have a gmail a/c and the only spam I get is the occassional one from a contact using Hotmail. Anyone know why that is?

Great story Chris. Luckily I had already met the face Beth. I mean put a face to the name. A lovely lady who I can't wait to see again.

I don't know why some people have so much trouble opening the newsletter. I have a straight hotmail account. It comes in there. I click on it and read it, nothing else to be done.

Yes, a good read . . . but can't a girl keep her age a secret?

Mind you, that makes you a whippersnapper Chris! biggrin

May well be in SA around my birthday (Oct 1), so you can buy an old hack a drink.yawn

Cheers, Tony

Thanks Wombat, I thought it'd be something like that.

Hi Chris, just read my copy of the times and loved your story. It's great to be able to put a face to the name and get a insight to your life. Maybe one day we might cross paths. Take care and safe travels. Regards. Brian

I hope I cross paths with all of you sometime, and again with all those I've already met.
I'm glad you enjoyed the feature. My age as never been a secret.
Thanks for the thought Tony, but I don't really count the years.
Behind this 61 year old face is a 35 year old brain.
If I'm around when you pass through I certainly will shout the "old hack" a drink. In fact I'd love to share some time with anyone passing through Adelaide/SA.
Greens Lake was like a bulk meeting at New Year. A great spot to share a great time with great friends.
