Don't know about slide ons but my Jayco has bed over cab and has a clip on ladder to access it. Personally I couldnt see myself climbing up there and even worse getting down in the morning with my bung knees and back, Thank god I also have a double bed at ground level? might be ok for kids but not for me thanks.
I think there should have been a ladder with the Unit Lynnie. Every one I've ever checked out on-line has a ladder included. I'd be asking where it was.
The beds in the luton peak in a motorhome are much higher than those in a slide-on. Generally there is some sort of seating in front of the bed which forms some sort of a ladder. These are much easier to access than those in a motorhome.

I take it that you have your flash unit. How about some pics?Yes, it is a bit of aclimb into the bed , but not to bad. I am thin king of putting my slide on a trailer for ease of loading. Will post when I sort it out. Bill
I pick it up on Saturday. I should be able to manage by standing on the bench seat, a quick step onto the bench then up onto the bed. It is not a huge issue really, but I was just interested in what others may have done to improve access.
I agree with you dogbox - getting up in the middle of the night would be my worry! Reckon I would wet myself or fall flat on my face!!! I also have pretty short legs, don't know whether I could get from the back of the bench seat - or down from the overhead bed! Just picturing it now - laughing like crazy!

Me too Jules, trying to picture myself as well falling flat on my face tryng to get down. Not something I want to try. I can fall over my own feet when I'm not looking where I'm going as I have already done since arriving here. A badly bruised arm and the pre-broken arms a bit sore. Thought of Beth at the time as I lay there on the lawn wondering how I got there. Have slowed down a lot since that happened two days ago.
I have a similar slide on and you just get used to getting down from the bed and the climb in and out. I find mine comfortable and very usable. My only gripe is loading and unloading the camper. Am going to put it on a trailer. Maybe I should have to bought a caravan........
hi lynnie i guess all the floor plans are different ours is like split level when you go in the front door and turn left you go up a step (the water tank is underneath) we have fridge on right and shower and loo on left and then the bed going across the front then we use one those fold up steps which gives us enough hieght to climb in

Yes. They are fairly spindly, and I am alway worried about it falling over, (on me).I am going to put it on a box trailer, and use it as a caravan. I am relinforcing the legs with angle iron, but still think the trailer is easier. you just hitch it up and go.Also, I can put the postie bike and the tinnie on the ute, with are handy.Will post pics when everything is set up.
