WHAT A WEEKEND!

Where are you? What music? What festival? Who, what, where, when?
Please explain.

Hahaha, you have forgotton the previous posts,,,,

We have been at Hartwood, a property just south of Tambah springs or north of Coolah, NSW, S/W of Tamworth.

The 25th country music festival held over the Easter weekend, hosted by Paul McCloud on his property. The festival finished Sunday night, about half the poeple left today monday & the rest of us have to out by Tuesday. The camping is on both open grassed areas & bushland as well, there are toilets, both flush & portable scattered over the area with 150 water taps. Some mobile food units were at the entertainment site.

Now we make our way north to Boondooma, west of Kingaroy, Qld, for another festival over the Anzac week.

I'll have to change my habbits as I cant get away from fixing things for other people, I have worked on four cars & motor homes & vans in the last week with electrical problems  as in no fridges working & no battery charging etc, Need a holiday before the next show. LOL

AHHHH  Its all good never know when the boot maybe on the other foot.

Stay tuned!!

Yep, four nights & two & a half days of country music, Had a ball & enjoyed every minute.

Weather was perfect up to the last hour on Sunday arvo, had a bit of a storm, just setteled the dust & then cleared. A record crowed again with every type of camping system here from the swag, the HT Kingswood & tent to all types of vans, motor homes & 5th wheelers.

For anyone interested there was much talk of this, the 25th year was the last, however the man him self, Paul McCloud announced last night that he was going to keep it going for another five years,

Ok, back to packing up as we are moving on tomorrow, tuesday.

JC.

That's what I'm on about. If someone comes on here now, or even we oldies who don't flick back a bit, have been left behind again.
So can anyone fill me in and bring the info up to date please?

I do remember reading the thread at the time CG, but like you can not remember a thing about it now. Hopefully JC will come back in with more details.

Glad you had a good time. Nothing like a good music festival to forget about life and refresh to batteries.

Four threads related to the Hartwood (NSW) Music Festival.

Pity they were not all in the one thread under the one heading eg Hartwood (NSW) Music Festival 2012

you sound like my chauffeur Justcruisin. Over the last few days he's fixed a radiator problem for 1 couple, lent a caravanner some blocks of wood so they could get caravan level & given a motorhomer a fuse so he could get his TV working. All these god works keep him out of mischief

I think it's great that we can do things for others. Even with my limited skills and a well-equipped tool box I get a chance now and then.
I know it's exhausting, and you can be spread a bit too thin, but as long as you give yourself a chance to enjoy where you are, your efforts would be appreciated, I'm sure.
It's also a great way to make new friendships - quality friendships.
Enjoy yourselves. Oh, and thanks for the details of the venue and location. Good info for future reference.

Hi JC, I agree these festivals are wondful. There are so many around Australia I'm finding. You could do just that full time if you wanted to plan well. I am finding more and more and there are so many lovely people out there to meet. They don't have to be expensive either. If you choose wisely you can have a very enjoyable time on a budget.
I for one thanks you for being a helpful chap with a boot full of "come in handies". I have been on the receiving end with some kind folk in my travels, one in particular my fellow Greens Laker NuOne. From all of us distressed damsels, we thank you.
Tess

Hi JC, what a wonderful week we had at Hartwood- Looked for you but too many people. So glad we will get another five years of it. Weather was great. Even the short downpour at the closing campfire wasn't enough to send us packing!!! Fabulous time
