Leaving Brisbane want best directiions to perth

Go to Google, go  MAPS,  insert Perth then directions then from Brisbane;

you'll find the answers here follow that route... the way to go!

You can seek advice on details as to where to camp etc. as you travel.

For exampe fuel and supplies at Nullarbor roadhouse and  Border village

are extremely expensive.  Fraser Range Station is a great place to get a

little R'n R  as you near the end of the Nullarbor trek.  etc.

Barring breakdowns or serious unforeseen disruption 14 days is plenty

oftime. We got there and back in two weeks with our four kids on board

in 1984. (We did spend time sightseeing between those two weeks!)

Best wishes for safe travel

G'Day Lynnete & Howard

I suppose which way You want to go - Bris , Cunnamulla , Bourke , Cobar =

1180k . Bris , Toowoomba , Goondi , Moree , Walgett , Bourke , Cobar =

1032k . Bris , Warwick , Moree , Wal Burk Cob = 1074k  . Bris , War . Mor ,

Coona , Gil , Warren , N/tire , Nyng , Cobar = 1105k . I have done

ALL those roads in the last 3- 4months , might hav 15-20min wait

on Cunningham Gap,for r/works , so I would use T/woomba range ,

what sort of truck & how fast/slow do you/can you go .

It is a bit more straight fwd going this way than

Mt Isa , Katherine & Kununurra , allthough you could get there either way

in your 14day window.

Richo

just had a quick look at th difference in mileage - 6,800 via Mt Isa ,

Gt Nth Hwy , 7000k via Mt Isa Nth Coastal Hwy .

4,3 to 4,400k Moree Broken Hill.

R.

If you've only 14 days to get all that distance I guess the best way will be down to broken Hill & over the Nullarbor

Moree, Gilgandra, Broken Hill, Peterborough, Port Augusta, Norseman, Kalgoorlie, Perth.
You really don't have time to stray from the main highways, and some of the lesser routes in NSW are still flood damaged.

The Moree to Broken Hill way is fairly good. Very good road west of Cobar and across SA, except for the bit between B/Hill and Peterborough - a bit rough in places, and the culverts are narrow.
It's possible to do the trip in your time line, but don't do anything foolish. Safe and happy travels.
I did Border Village to Emerald via Cobar, Cunumulla, St George, Roma in about 4.5 days @ 90kph average.

We came across last week and for fuel cheaper ones were Kyancutta, Nundroo,( both cheaper than ceduna or penong) Mundrabilla and at the western end suggest put just enough in at Norseman to get to Coolgardie where Fuel is 25c a litre cheaper than norseman and the cheapest you will find till you get to perth. Travel safely

Tying in with another thread that asked about quarantine restrictions when entering WA, be aware when going the way suggested that you will lose your fruit and veg when entering Broken Hill (due to fruit fly exclusion zone), then again just after you leave Broken Hill and entering SA, then again at the WA border. Just make sure you don't keep restocking too much each time!
