Thanks for the update Graeme, give her our love and tell her we will see the both of you at Gympie. I trust the caravan problems have been sorted out to your satisfaction.
Thanks for the update Graeme with the positive attitude that you both have won't be long before you are hitting the road again. Our love to you both Helena.
howdy all im here finaly, its been a bit hectic the first couple of days ,it seems today i was congratulated for being the person to get nausea and gastro in two days of radiation ,typical of me i suppose, so i was congratulated by a nurse today at the pa and we both had a giggle.
however we got it sorted and ive been given some tablets like a tiny wafer type thing goes under your tongue and should fix both problems if not i have other tablets for the back side lol
all in all the hospital is lovely and clean and so much different to nambour general, and the people are so lovely to you and its like they realy do know what you are going through, anyways the nurse said to me that no wonder i had the symptoms so soon i am on the completely new machine and its quite complex and so is the treatment i am having so there was the answer ,Brisbane water tastes like crap so im boiling it and putting it in the fridge seems to make it taste better ,as i do like water room temperature more than in the fridge but im coping i have to drink 500 mls 45 min before my radiation.
today i was given a little card with a marble attached, i had a choice of a bookmark or this little card had a verse on it about losing your marbles, and it goes like this.
I HAVE A LITTLE PRESENT ESPECIALLY FOR YOU FOR THOSE TIMES OF DESPERATION BE THEY FAR OR FEW WHEN LIFE BECOMES A STRUGGLE AND YOU DONT FEEL QUITE ALL THERE HOLD THIS LITTLE PRESENT ,AND KNOW THAT SOMEONE CARES. THE PRESENT IS A MARBLE AND ITS ONLY JUST FOR FUN SO WHEN YOU THINK YOU'VE LOST ALL YOURS AT LEAST YOU STILL HAVE ONE.
That little card and a marble made my day, i also had my eldest daughter visit me tonight, i noticed a very big change in her, shes been put on some medication, kate is the one with the son ryan now five years old still with a brain tumour sitting dormant that they cannot remove, shes been through a very tough time, and i dont see much of her ,however i do know what its like to have to cart kiddies around whingeing and whining ,i know my youngest was a handful like that she hated going anywhere till she was about 2 years old, but tonight my daughter and i sat down as mother and daughter and had such a long talk and she seems so much calmer and doesnt shake like she used to so whatever the doc has prescribed i can honestly say its working ,i love her very much .
since this has happened to me i can now understand the courage that she had to have to fight not for her own life but for her sons ,weve seen little ryan in some terrible positions, very ill at times and hes a little trooper and still going strong, he loves Graeme very much and poppy is his favourite, when all this is over im going to get him and take him some place special.
we have three grandkids ,kate has two girls as well as ryan but he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Thank you all so much for the love and care you have shown me on here i truly am blessed to have you all in my life
i shall still be going through treatment whilst gympie is on but i shall make it and graeme can drink my share as im not aloud to have alcohol while im on treatment.
so to everybody stay safe and enjoy your life actualy enjoy each day at a time because thats how i am now doing it.
This is so great to hear from you Della. What an ordeal you are going through. As you know we are all thinking of you and praying for you and can't wait to see you at Gympie. That card is so sweet, I can see how it would make your day reading that. Its the little things that keep you going at a time like this. The one thing I can relate to is the water. lol. We have been on tank water since I arrived her in Biggenden and was enjoying it, but with no rain son has had to change back over to town water and it is awful. I'm boiling it also and putting it in the fridge. Not much better but the best I can do until we get some rain. Chin up girl, hang in there. All the best.
good to hear you have made a start on your treatment, now I will not be at Gympie but as for Graeme drinking for you, thats not fair, even though I will not be there I could still help out with the drinking, so tell Graeme to move over.
hmm wrong there kiwi no van still and its week 7 this week but they are on the repair ,its the rego that is taking the most longest im pretty peeved about the whole lot but Graeme is remaining calm .
