Nice afternoon

I met up with gillyb today and spent a lovely couple of hours chatting, thanks gilly. Don't forget to call into Avan at Pakenham.

Oh, The Telstra shop was busy, so gave it a miss, I will check on-line.

I have come home to some pretty rugged weather here in down town Wonthaggi too, strong winds and heavy rain.

I did attach the bad Townsville weather to the tail of the plane Greg but airport security got upset with me so by the time I took it off we were 45 mins late leaving, sorry mate.

I've had my week off Marj so it's back to grind on Tuesday and I think it will be a while before I can get away again, never mind, I had a great time with the little ones so I have had my grandchildren fix for a while. Yes, we will catch up again. Keep safe up there Marj.

Glad to hear you have arrived home safely Doug.  Been nice and cool here the last couple of days, you would have felt right at home.  Look forward to the next meet.

Cheers!

Hi Doug, Just thought I would update you on the fly screen door for the A Van I went to Bunnings and bought some velcro that is industrial strength you can hang hammers up with it, so I tried it out and we went away for a night to give it a try worked wonders was really great need to put some small weights on the bottom to stop that gaping hope this helps you. Helena.

Was great to catch up with you yesterday Doug now I have met 2 nomads from this forum, yourself and Pauline and hopefully in months to come I will meet up with lots more.   Once summer returns I will definately be making the trip up to Greens Lake.........I can't wait.

Sorry your weather was so bad when you got home Doug, it rained a little here but no strong winds and yes I will head up to see A'van at Pakenham one day this week and hopefully get my window fixed smile

Thanks for the update Helena, I have tried velcro but found the heat seemed to melt the glue so it kept coming of and the screen was falling down. The 2 parts of the velcro was ok just the glue.

I have been a bit lazy in the maintenance department but will get stuck into it soon.

I have been busy with work, gallivanting around and meeting GN from here. The social pages in my Diary have been full. DOUG

With this industrial velcro from Bunnings the glue is that sticky you have a job to get it off your fingers as you are trying to attach it we were parked out in the sun because of the solar that we have on the roof of the van and it seemed to be O.K. will probably be a testing time for that when we go to Darwin shortly. Take care and hope you get to travel again real soon Helena.
