Weekend to Greens Lake

Hi, thinking of going up to Greens Lake this weekend for a few days, haven't been before, will it be OK after the rain over the past week or so. Have gas heater in van so cold shouldn't be a problem. Are open fires allowed?

thanks for any advice

Rod

Will be very cold at this time of the year Rod, can get very sloshy down by the water after the rain but you can park higher up safely. Open fires are allowed but you must take your own wood in. Not allowed to cut down any trees there. Has public toilets but you might need to take your own toilet paper as usually run out and take your own drinking water. There is water up at the toilets but not consumeable. Take a tap top as the management take their own away. You can get them at Bunnings.

Arrived and set up before lunch Saturday, weather is beautiful, blue sky, high clouds, gentle breeze and about 16 degrees but feels warmer after the the last week or so in Melbourne. Very relaxing sitting beside the waters edge. About half a dozen other vans are here at present.
