Granny's Back On The Road

Would you believe I'm back on the road after a l o n g break.

Rosy had some minor maintenance, I've had some maintenance, and now we're both ready to go.

Through the WA Pilot Association contact I'm suddenly busy.  They have a website which gives locations of pilots to make them accessible.  About an hour after my name was restored to the site the phone began to ring, and hasn't stopped since.  So I'm off tomorrow to Pt. Augusta, heading to Border Village, then returning on Sunday, headed for Lyndhurst.

So if anyone is travelling east of Border Village this weekend, keep a look out for Granny and Rosy.  I'll be flashing.  You can't miss me.  If you have UHF call up to say "g'day".

Not only do I "flash", but I also mislead truckies across the country, and sleep with them too.
Well, we share a truck stop/parking bay. He in the sleeper cab, and me in my "spare room".
I haven't seen inside a sleeper cab for about 20 years. I kid you not. I haven't been invited, and I haven't asked. And that's the way it will stay.

I am glad you are both ok after some maintenance Chrissy. Take care of yourself out there and try not to "Flash" too much I don't want to have to come over to WA to visit you behind bars because I would feel like I should visit wombat while in WA, he might still be up a pole with his poota, would be a bit crowded up there.

NOT THAT FLASHING!  You grubby old man!  What are you thinking?  Silly me, he's a bloke.  No need to ask.

And no, that other b...d will never pay, and I've written off as training.  In other words, a great learning experience.

Ironically this work I'm doing is for his ex who's running a pilot agency.  She has a good reputation as an operator.  She pays well too.  That is always a good thing.

Too right! On the way home from Lyndhurst I might pop over to catch up with you 2.
It will be middle of next week if all goes according to the current plant. These things have a tendency to change with no notice.
So I'll keep you in mind for sure. It would be a good night off after this long, slow run. 60 KPH from Pt. Aug to the WA border.
Hopefully the eastbound job will be a bit quicker.
All good.

Thank you CG for calling in to see us at Parachilna. Means a lot to us.  Enjoyed the cups of tea.  Hope all went well with the rest of your journey.
