Well the purchase of our van could be sooner rather than later. My MOTH (Man of the house) has rented out his house and has now been offered work in Mackay, so he will need somewhere to live, perfect time to get our own little house on wheels. It still doesn't exactly make us nomads but when we are ready to travel we will have a van. Getting a site to park up in Mackay is looking like a challenge but I'm sure we will find something. Gotta find a van first, so many to choose from.
Congrats and good luck to you. Mackay is cluttered with miners and associated workers. It would be great if some of those companies invested in setting up a van park and cabin village for the workers and left the established tourist parks to the tourists. Anyone got any spare money they want to offload for tax purposes? I wish. Any mining community is the same.
