The only problem I have with this forum is 'it's addictive'!! I need to check it everyday - and I find I spend much longer on it than I expect! Maybe that's because I don't have FB.

Me too, much more addicted to this forum than facebook. I only go on facebook to see if the kids have put up photos of the grandkids, but I come in here two or three times a day (if I'm home) to see if any updates on threads I'm interested in or info I might be needing.
I have enjoyed this forum. At first I thought it was a bit 'clicky' but I realised that was probably because so many of you have met each other in person or been posting for many years. I soon realised that most were very friendly and I would be friendly too. I decided that I would just continue putting my 'two bob bit' in and where I could help someone I would. We have been caravanners for over 35 years so I think I qualify to do that. If I read a few ?? posts I just move on to the next one. So far I haven't made a controversial post and so I haven't had my head bitten off. I'm not sure how I would feel if I did. There is certainly plenty to laugh about - a pity some don't find that. Let's keep being friendly in every way possible. I'll start a new topic and tell you all what has happened to us on this trip.
Yes you do get plenty to laugh about nielnruth, just look at wombat when he gets wet, looks more like a scun rat then, oh, and probably smelly too. Still, for a wet wombat he's not all that bad.

I'm sure they're all scared Wombat. Sorry I got my dander up, I'll try not to do it again.

If you check out the thread 'do we do it' there was some 'disagreement' there and it was handled well - a PM - a sorry - and everyone moves on. Now that's how it should be done. And we can all enjoy each other's company. And I love wombat's quick sense of humour. But know nothing about Collingwood and Lions so can't commiserate with jimbo.

me's the same, i also have a mobile that only makes phone calls thats what I got it for not of this apps buisness
See! This is what is gret about this forum. A thread can start off on a 'serious' note and before you know it, it is dealt with and everyone is having fun. Don't know why anyone should get in a huff.
will sombody please point me in the direction of the topic rodandjean are upset with.
It doesn't matter really. The fact is they were upset. I don't think anyone intentionally meant to upset them, but that's what happens when people are different. We're all different, and we have to be a bit sensitive to the differences.
Offer response without criticism. Alternative options are acceptable, but we have to be careful how we deliver them.
Unfortunately we lost someone sensitive. Sorry to see them leave. Maybe they'll forgive and return. I hope so.

Some of us are just friends through the forum. No face to face meetings or gatherings or picnics or camps. Just the forum.
That's how all the friendships have formed before they met in person somehow, sometime.
It is addictive. I like to see the travel plans and progress of my nomad "friends". Sometimes I even add my own experiences.
That's The Grey Nomads. Stick around.

I am just amazed!!!!!!!!!!I have not done any travelling yet, have asked lots of questions and had wonderful informative answers. I have only met 2 great people and had fantastic above and beyond help from another I have never met. I am also getting addicted to this site, have it on all day at work and then when home, just to follow the journeys and posts of members. many of the posts help me and others I am sure without us having to actually post all the time...Anyway a BIG THANK YOU to all who help us and keep us entertained....life would be duller for me not having discovered and have access to this forum.......
