Fun this week watching the antics of our bird life. first the toad was squashed dead on the road, then it was picked up by a crow and put on the carport roof and now it is in the tree. I stopped putting small items on the line because the birds like to take them also. the toad in the tree is in the middle of the photo.
Great photo, a good cane toad is a dead cane toad. I catch at least two each night here and dispose of them. May be it was too heavy to get up into the tree in one go.
I once saw a crow fly off with a whole wrapped Maccas cheese burger.. He only flew about a hundred metres away, then unwrapped and started eating it. And no, he didn't get fries with that..

Ah, that just goes to prove crows are very clever when it comes to hunting, even if it is wrapped with sauce. They actually eat the livers out of the poisonous cane toads without any ill effects to anything but the toad.
