Need to Run Away!!

Getting ready to head off again, our little grand-daughter's 1st birthday party down south BUT ..... thinking I need to run away now!!!

Why, I hear you ask? Well ...... in the last week we have had 3 friends pass away, and sadly one of them was only 62!

So after attending a funeral on Thursday, will head south for a happier time, at least for a little while.

Even some chocolate has not lifted me today.

Hopefully the love and hugs you get from and give to your granddaughter will lift your spirits. Grandies are so wonderful aren't they! smile

Take care xx

Just come back from visiting my mother (85) in a nursing home - she has dementia - and oh my gosh!! Friday can't come quick enough!!

Usually when she seems a little confused, we start referring to times when I was a kid, back in the '50's and she 'comes good' as much as she can, but today...... even times past were chaotic and confusing for her.

Life can be a bugger at times!

PS Congrats Jimbo - feels good doesn't it?

Thanks guys, went to the funeral this morning of the 62 yr old - man it was packed!! But now we can look forward to getting away in the morning - van is all but packed, all we have to put in is the toothbrushes!!
Heading to Canberra via Jondaryan and Lightning Ridge (as you do), so some new roads that we will be travelling on, looking forward to that.

Oh, have got the 'red stuff' packed as well, after Pete poured me a glass for tonight!

Toothbrushes? I have a set of everything in the van (home), and another set in the car in my roadhouse bathroom bag. All I have to do is get into the car and go. This way I don't even have to pack my toothbrush.

Ahhh, it's good to be on the road again.

Guess who forgot their trackie-dacks?? And it isn't me!! Never fails, we always seem as if we have to buy something when we hit the road!! Oh well, this lot may get kept in the van!

Thanks GST, should be heading for Tsv around Christmas - yeah I know, silly us, go north in the wet season and south in the cold season - do you think we have a problem??

I always recommend travellers to experience at least 1 wet season. Either side of the country, not Darwin it's a great experience. Very different from Broome and Cairns, but each an experience. The steam out of the rainforest was spooky and fascinating.
Safe and happy travels wherever you go.
