About this time last year we spent one night in a park whose name I forget but it was not pleasant.

We spent two nights at Roebuck Plains roadhouse (about 20 mins drive from town) which we enjoyed and two or three nights at the PCYC park. PCYC was very friendly. (supposed to be for overflow/standy use). All parks were busy.. hence our switch and swapping.

As Gerty has said book ahead if you can. Are you going south after Broome? Van parks are choked with FIFO mine workers.. your Camps 6 book will be busy!

if you have time and the right vehicle/rig, we strongly recommend a trip to Cape Leveque; we had a memorable stay at "Whalesong" up there.

1. Book ahead for any caravan park in Broome during their busy season.
2. Tarangau was enjoyed by our friends.
3. We found Broome Vacation Village very "clicky" and unfriendly.
4. Other friends found Cable Beach the same.
5. We all loved the Broome Bird observatory... but its a dirt road, and no power.
6 Broome is a great place for a holiday, make the most of it, but bring plenty of money!
