240 Volt Fluros

It is possible to change 30 Cm.240 Volt fluro tubes with LED tubes

They are around the $30 mark

However you have to remove the ballast and gubbins and run them directly through the on/off switch only.

Not sure of the legalities of doing this yourself but it can be done.

I do know one of my best purchases was the Halogen spotlight in the rangehood/extractor that I was always burning myself on.Converted that to LED and now no burns.

There are a few companies that supply them that I know of and one is Sinfin Lighting on the Sunshine Coast in Qld and another is Peninsula RV's on the Mornington Peninsula. Both found on Google of course.

Hope this helps those who want to convert to LED's

Maybe you should have posted this in Techie's corner. I'm sure someone will know though.
