I'm keen to get a dog, but the thought of travelling with him is getting to be a worry!! So many restrictions, extra fees, etc.

I agree with you Jack.

However, some one's dog must be behaving badly, cause we who are following behind are being penalised for it.

Gerty, I travel with 2 dogs and find there are very few issues at all.

I pick the pet friendly places and there are many, the exceptions being NPs but that does not faze me missing them.  Having the company of my girls is enough reward for me.
