Everybody wants to be in the same place! And the prices of caravan parks are already higher due to the mining workers, so free camps are under even greater pressure. A bit further south from there we noted "permanents" in the free camps who seemed to go out to work every day... not much space left for touring GN's.
We hate doing it, but have found at least we are sure of getting a spot (Specially on long weekends/school hols) if we book ahead.
WA was like this last year, are any forumites going there this year? Is it busy like Qld?
