I am a retired Australian and for years dreamed of having a canal barge in France.

I got my dream but because it is over 20 metres long I must have at least 2 people on board.

I have tried everywhere to get people to travel with me without success. Hopefully I won't have put it on the market.

Want a cheap and lesurely tour in the French summer?

Right now I am in Strasbourg and my next main port of call will be Nancy with lots of villages and magnificent scenery in between

One of the things left on my list of things to do is to cruise the European rivers.
Unfortunately I don't have a passport nor the means to get to Europe.

I would have thought you would have no trouble getting people to travel with you on a barge,

i have always wanted to do the canals of England for a time,but no idea if it will ever eventuate,If We were in France or coming to France we would jump at the chance

Welcome AussieBargeman. Sounds absolutely wonderful. I've always wanted to do a canal trip in England or Wales. Or perhaps the Rhine Cruise. No I never will but its always a dream for when I win Lotto.
I'm sure you will find someone to share a great trip and lifestyle.
