Kings Canyon

Thanks for all the advice on looking after ourselves in King's Canyon.  We stopped 3 nights and did the rim walk.  Only 1 silly idiot (oriental) who kept going near the edge but otherwise it was superb.  The entertainment at the Kings Canyon resort was brilliant and not to be missed.  Also don't miss a trip to Kathleen Springs, we were the only ones there and it was magical, easy walk from the carpark on asphalte track.  Between Ayers rock and Kings canyon diesel was around $2.33 with Curtin Springs being the most expensive at $2.34......on on

Jimbo, when we were at Curtain Springs last year diesel was at 2.37/L but in sydney it was around 1.42/L. So there is a huge variation on pricing at any given time around Australia. From memory Alice was around 1.65/L at the same time.

The only reason we bought at Curtin Springs was because someone wrongly told us it was $3.30 at Uluru and not being any the wiser we decided to buy there. As it was, Uluru was $2.33 the same as Kings Canyon......on on

Same here snapper, but having the extra tank makes it a bit easier to pick and choose in the Troopy.

Changed then since we were there 14 months ago

Died when I saw the price at curtain springs so continued onto ulluru

Didnt need to buy fuel as we still had enough to get back to the main highway

When we got into ulluru the price was ok

Cant remember the exact figures but cheap enough for me to fill up
