You get as close as you can to the snake, and yell out "SNAKE!" at the top of your voice. If that doesn,t work, you run, quickly, in the opposite direction. Works for me. Bill
It was actually in what was the previous owners' Workshop, just outside the back door . She did Pottery in there.
Wasn't ceiled properly, so a lot of the insulation has collapsed with the weight while I've been away.
Beautiful Python though. Won't have to worry quite so much about my remaining Chihuahua now, when she goes out at night.
First time I've seen it during the day, so I finally was able to get some-one to come and remove it. Only ever saw it after 10 o'clock at night before.
Many houses in northern Qld have a python or more in their ceiling. It's more common than you'd like to think. Fortunately they keep the vermin at bay, mouse lunch, and some frogs, but not cane toads. Really a friend. But they do consume the family pet from time to time. In FNQ last year a 3 year old boy was partially consumed up to his shoulder, but survived to tell the tale. Bruised from the muscle contractions of the snake's constrictions and consumption, but otherwise physically unharmed. Can't say much about his psychological condition. I'd be dreaming about it for ever. Scary!

Be interested to see if it works Sheba, I've had 6 pythons removed this year!! I was told after I found the first one that they always travel in pairs.. I thought yeah whatever.. 3 nights later yep out came the next one, ended up with 6 over a few weeks, the last 2 removed the same night.. one was being very protective of the other one when we were trying to catch and bag it, it watched our every move.. so glad when got rid of them could hear them in the ceiling every now and then, just hope no more move in!!
I cabt read this cos im on ipad but if they are like the led lights that you put outside solar Lights and claim to have a sound emits fron it to repell snakes dont believe it we too read About this and then google forumed it and got the biggest laugh people said oh the work in nz Hahaha and several other good laughs too good to be true luckily i stopped my hubby from buying them
sure you where born in 41 Sheba, you look quite spritley in the photo, no offence meant to any one else of that vintage, or to you Sheba. gold dandelion and wife.
That's not me gold dandelion. She's the wife of the guy who came to collect the Python.
This is me 3 or 4 years ago, at the Crocodile farm. Hate seeing them cooped up like that, so I won't go back. Much prefer to see them in their natural habitat.
Would have loved to take this one home.
Cheers,
Sheba.
