Hope you have your copy of Camps 6 - it is the travellers bible - and talk to people, they are they best recommendation you can get - welcome to the site, join in and have some fun, and also learn a lot.

Hi and welcome. There's some rest areas on the pacific highway that are ok to stay for a night or maybe two.

I spoke to someone who tried to stay somewhere in the Foster Area that the rangers were knocking on their door telling them to move on. This was around Christmas time.

There is the state forest at Coopernook, a bit further north.

Welcome Didi.

As well as the 'bible', Camps Australia Wide, there's also this site...

http://ozcamps.net/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=29

and http://www.caravancaravan.com.au/

Also check out National Parks and/or State Forests in the area for camps.

Welcome Didiw, I've only just noticed your post.   There is a list of free/budget sites on the general forum about half way down.   It may help you out.

Hi Di

Just saw your message from June 25.  I live in Forster but I plan to start travelling in my Moho soon.  If you haven't already found a spot to stay (freecamp) I could help you out.  Forster is one beautiful place.

Jennifer
