Tuning in the Wingard TV Antenna

After calling in to Keith and Maggies (a fantastic stop over) I now find that because of Keith letting me have first look at his delivered caravan magazine, I need a Happy Wanderer TV Tuning gizzmo.

As I am sure that a few members afre well aware, the tuning of the TV often results in an argument.  You know, "Tell me when we are getting a good picture, dear?" "Is that better or worse?" "Are we getting all the channels," etc.

Well, it seems that this little device will stop all that, so says the magazine advert.

The good news, for $65 it does.

Just thought I would pass that on.

Oops, forgot to say that it apparently works with ANY TV antenna.

Landfall, you only need to have a look where everybody else in the campground or caravan park is pointing their aerials! You could have saved $65!

Glad it works, might get one too...

 Hi,

That's what finally convinced me to get one.

Three dumb men standing in the road trying to figure out who actually had there TV antennas pointed in the correct direction?

The onsite cabins were no help either.

The final straw was when we heard a crash and yell from the eighty plus gentleman over the other side of the road falling when trying to adjust his TV antenna.  We raced over there and yelled (YES, yelled) at his wife not to move him until we could ascertain if he had done any permanent damage.

Fortunately, not. Only shook up.

They are available on eBay, but I purchased ours from Watson Caravans in Coffs Harbour.

Suggest any reasonable caravan stockist would have them.

I thought I had our TV tuned to perfection here in Coffs until I came back with my new toy.  Managed an extra three LED lights. Max reception.

Dusty

I have one and at times it is handy. One limitation is that if the antenna has a booster (many do) it will need to connected to the lead that plugs into to the TV. This is to ensure that the power injector remains in the line to power the booster. You may need to have an antenna extension lead to do this, it's only needed while setting up however.

I've found that it's true what others in this thread have said implying that other vans are not always a reliable guide to pointing the antenna.

Check their website for more info including dealers http://www.happywanderer.net.au/page.asp?parentid=19&parent2id=50&parent3id=69
