The door's broken!

Hi Fellow SGN's,

I'm travelling from Cairns to Brisbane and was  having a great time till I pulled up at roadworks this afternoon and the door swang open on my motorhome!!!

The fly screen door was still locked and in place but the outer door was swinging in the breeze, all three catches had snapped off.  I've stretched occy straps across it and run tape all around it. I'm in Proserpine tonight and will have to limp to Mackay in the morning to find someone who repairs caravans, none here in Proserpine.

Oh dear!

Cheers to you all especially JustCruizing, Biilllleeeeee and Jules back at Rollinstone.

Cate.

Oh Cate - what a drama - first the "ticking" - solved easily enough - and good luck with door - great to meet up with you - hope to see you on the road somewhere again.

Thanks you Two,

It was great to put personalities to names and it's good to know that there's like minded travellers out there. Totally enjoyed the political gossip, there a bunch of clowns really.

I'm in Brizzy now, the broken bits are off the door and were heading out this morning to buy replacements.

All good!

Cheers, Cate

Goodo Cate - good to meet you as well - we have moved on to Macrossen Park, near Charters Towers - wet, wet, wet - looks like we will be stuck here for a few days - luckily did our shopping in Townsville before we came here, or we would be hungry and thirsthy!!!
Glad you have sorted out your door on the truck - wonder what happened??
Have fun out there!!!!!

The 3 catches that attach the outer door to the screen door snapped off!

My friends down here have fixed it, it cost $18.75 (3 catches @ 6.25 each) How bloody lucky was that!!

The rain sounds bad up there but at least you have food and liquids for the next 40 days.........stay dry and travel safe (if you ever get out)

Cheers, C
