We have arrived at Mereeba

Have finally got set up and settled in. The weather, bit overcast with the sun trying to make appearance but finally the clouds won. Numbers of caravaners building but plenty of non powered sites left at of today but the check in lady said they will fill fast. It's our first visit here so looking forward to the rodeo and anyone who would like to pop in and say hello.we are down at the bottom end, Roadstar van, 100 series tug. Hope to catch up Brian

Hi Brian and Cheryl, have been following your travels with great jealousy. Been a while since you passed this way.
Jon (jonathan) is at Mareeba but is having p.c problems, you might spot his motorhome and trailer, or hear his karaoke somewhere in the showground.
Say hello if you see him.

Stay safe and travel easy.

I was wondering if Jonathans PC problem was fixed yet. Been awhile. I PM'd Norma to get the lowdown! biggrin

Agree Brickies, I visited Jonathan there last year when I was staying with my friend at Malanda. Far too packed for my liking and not a tree in sight. I like to have some shade trees around. Have you checked Granite Gorge? I've not stayed there but it seems peaceful.

I stayed at Atherton in 08, and met up with some Pt. Lincoln friends who were camped there, working around the grounds, and visiting family in Cairns. They're still up there somewhere.
I hope the rain holds off or the grounds will be a bog hole.
And Beth, I avoid trees at every opportunity. Too much mess and the risk of having one fall on me and the van is scary. No trees for me.

Not to park under Chris, just to have nearby to sit under. I avoid the sun on my freckly skin. hmm
