Hi Snap and welcome,

Regards living on the pension and travelling, settle down for a good read of Yeoeleven's blog and his travels in Oz on a pension and a side trip to Bali included, one of the best reads I have come across by a remarkable member, click on;

Nothing to do with your old rig snap. Have you seen Myrtle. Maybe you are not travelling in the right places. There are some beautiful people out there.

Hi Snap,
I doubt your rig has anything to do with it. With my limited travel, I've found most people quiet friendly. I guess it depends what you mean by mix.

Hi, snap1946 - as you say you travel alone - when you camp up somewhere - free camp or whatever, go fro a walk around, say g'day to everyone, general chat - where you been, where are they headed etc - have to make yourself approachable - and one thing I will say is that you seem to meet more people at a free camp than in a caravan park, just my observation, anyway.

Doesn't matter what you drive mate - have a look at the blog that Yeoeleven (John) has put up - he is in an aging Hi Ace, with handpainted flowers all over it - he is an inspiration - and I believe he is probably on the Gold Coast now - why not semd him a private message, and have a chat - meet for a coffee or whatever - that is a way to make new friends with similar interests - post on this site where you are - ask if anyone is in the area - suggest a meet up -

Whatever you do, ,keep on travelling and enjoying it - it is a great life out there - and we have to make the most of what we have in life!!!!!!smilesmile

Snap, Jules is right. If you want people to find you and chat as you travel, write up on here where you are. You never know who is in the vicinity. Also when you freecamp always go chat to the others there. I always ask others if they are stopping the night and before long we are sitting around the community table chatting.
You have only been going a little while. it does take time to adjust especially when travelling on your own.
