Heading South in November.

August is horrible down there. My daughter got married in August 2009, I remember the week after I had to leave to drive up here, the fog went from Echuca to Deniliquin without a break and every stop up the Newell we stayed in caravan parks cabins and froze, Ice on the car in the morning as well.

Should have added, the day of the wedding was such a huge frost but the sun came out for the wedding thank goodness. The rest of the month was cold and wet.

Going back down to Vic in November. Don't have to go down in Aug/Sept now. Managed to get out of that trip, thank goodness.

Hope to take about a month and see all the interesting places I missed out on coming up to Qld in April.

Hoping to meet up with others along the way. See you all out there in the playground.

Oh, also, hoping to head north a bit now that I don't have to go south early now. Kids are arriving on Tuesday for just on two weeks, then I am free to do what I want for 3 months.

Yes Pauline, wasn't looking forward to going back down to the cold weather. Also couldn't really afford two trips, one in Aug/Sep then one for the summer in November.
We are going to have a 1st birthday party for bubs while he is up here which works out better as son here and grandkids here would have missed out down there anyway.

Hi Pauline you're crazy to head to Vic at this time of year but would be great to catch up with you again all the same.   Where abouts are you heading to and how long are you staying ?

Marj hopefully we'll eventually get to catch up in November, hopefully the weather will be warmer but who know in Victoria haha no

Bound to Beth, even at Greens Lake, who knows. I don't want to go that early, October, as hopefully will still be warm here.

We chose October so we'd have plenty of time before school hols, and family Xmas on the 16/12.

It can still be cool in the west in early October, but we'll have warm stuff with us.

We're heading out through Goondiwindi, and we won't be any hurry.

I'm thinking of taking about a month to get down there. Will play it by ear.

Thanks Della. Got your number and saved it. Could be down that way in a couple of weeks. Once the kids head back to Vic. I want to go down to the Eumundi Market and also go see an old friend at Redcliffe. Have to go through your area so will call in.
Once back here will head up north for a look around.

Hoping for the same down here Ken. Family arriving Tuesday for their annual holidays. They won't want to sit inside the whole time.
They have arrived at Bathurst tonight, staying at Rydges on the Panorama corner. Sent photos on facebook. They have a perfect view and were going for a drive around the track.

But Marj it doesn't sound as if the Qld weather is any better than the south - in fact ours seems even tad better.
