Come to sunny Queensland......

I am sitting at home on Magnetic island, and its blowing 30knots , raining, and about 15c. We have had some of the worst weather in memory in NQ , this year.I was thinking of going to Joe Bjelkes grave with a brown paper bag full of money, to see if he could change the weather for me , and the gns up here. There is a problem , though- he,s dead. Anybody know anyone else who we can pay to change the weather for the better? Bill

I read in The Courier Mail yesterday that the 1974 rainfall record is close to being broken.

So weird to have all this rain in winter.

Unbelievable weather Bill. Don't think Joe can help.
Had a small amount of blue sky yesterday. Hasn't stopped raining down here since last night. Waste of time getting out of bed.

Most of the pollies I know think they walk on water, and most of them are a bit corupt, so I thought a brown paper bag full of money would get them to change the weather.........Perhaps I am going to the wrong place? Bill

Come on folks, we should have a Royal Commision to sort out the weather. Then have a tax on excess water.

Maybe Tim Flannery got it wrong when he said by 2012 we would be in a full drought situation with his calls for desalination plants and to take away the farmers water allocation.

OOPS, sorry the whole of the Murray basin is wet with more water than we have had for years.

Would be nice to see the sun though.

I like daylight saving! But I usually spend my summers down south. The problem here is its only 30 mins different summer to winter. It would be nice if the sun would come out, now and again. I keep thinking I,m in Melbourne. As Joh said"don,t you worry about that!" Bill

My towels are still on the line from yesterday. Must be my fault for doing washing here.

What's that big ball of light in they sky? Could that be the sun? How long will it last?

My washing has been hanging under the house since Friday. If it doesn't rain again today, it might be ready to come in by this arvo!

Only had a few light sprinkles over the last few days up north but still cloudy ; very humid & hot of a night, only need a sheet for a cover.

Bill, there has been hardly any rain in Melbourne and there has been quite a lot of blue sky and sunshne - but still cold - however not very wet.

We have been up here in North QLD for past 6 or 7 weeks and left home believing that this is the dry season in Queensland, now starting to think that we should have gone to Victoria it might be a bit cooler there but at least it would be dry, although if the rain keeps going we will always be able to say we were in Queensland when they set an all-time record that has stood for almost 40 years.

I think Billeeee has got it right Queensland definitely needs to bring in daylight saving as you get so much sunshine it fades the curtains.winkwinkwink

the sun was out today in Moree and the artesian pools were ooooohhhh soooo nice

only downside was the chilly little breeze that popped up now and then

much better than QLD is at the moment

stay warm and safe

After four days of pouring rain we had the sun today and the slight wind which sent you back inside as it was cold, here in Inverell, similar to Moree weather but Moree is way hotter than here.  Tonight it will be down to -3c so darn cold again.  At least while it was raining it wasn't that cold.

I might add when one is menopausal you are always darn hot it seems, even when it is freezing lol.

Well, it's dry in Perth and sunny . . but bloody cold. Bloke's had his trackie daks on all day and a fleecy top, and he's still chilly. Makes you question all this global warming business! I believe that the real cause of it is all that hot air coming out of Canberra . . .
Cheers, Tony

Joe BeGently always said the sun shone out his bum & he wasn't getting up an hour early for anyone.  Maybe he kept it when he was buried. wink

If you are getting too much rain you are welcome to ship some over here to WA, we sure need some.

Cheers Neil

Forget Queensland, spend 'winter' in Darwin instead, guaranteed no rain at all.
