Wondered where you had disappeared to. Thought maybe you had been whisked away by some international talent spotter, and you were busy in a recording studio.popcorn.gif

Sorry we couldn't make it there this year Jon, dog shows, and now theimminentt arrival of puppies has been keeping us very busy. But next year is looking to be a good bet for listening to your talent again.brushteeth.gif

Good to see you back on line ,i was starting to get withdrawalls from all the knowledgable comments about mareeba and surrounds.

but i did warn you about dealing with telstra ,its faster to use snail mail or carrier pidgeon.

we should be back there in about 1 -2weeks

 Hi Chris ..

I had used a wireless gateway modem for the past 3 years without any hiccups with a 'login' under my sons account ..

so .. as I needed to purchase a new unit after it crashed .. and without any changes to the account or a need to enter into a new contract, I purchased (and paid for) one over the phone ..

Contrary to my specific instructions, they still ended up sending it to the Post Office with my sons name on it (because of acct ownership) ..

As my son was out of the country, no-one, not even my D-I-Law was able to authorise me to collect it ..

Although the first Modem was sent under my name .. it wasn't able to login .. two more were sent and are sitting in the PO till they are now auto-returned ..

I have now cancelled the acct 4 weeks after paying for the new modem .. and now run a prepaid dongle ..

I'm also now waiting for the "recovery" bag to arrive so that I can return the one modem as requested .. I'll bet that arrives under my sons name too !

good fun!

Jon

I didn't hear what the problem was. I changed to prepaid WiFi just before Cobb & Co. I'm still experimenting with recharge..which one suits me best.

I wasn't really eager to go back to Telstra, but yes, they do have the best coverage.

Hi Marj ..

Its good .. with the opportunity of being in one place for awhile, you take advantage of getting out and about .. and I don't get on the radio much either as I dont need to when sitting still ..

apart from seeing each other frequently, we all still go about our own interests when you choose ..

Jon

 Hi Palebushman,

What sort of puppies are about to be born if I may ask?

Very typical. My friends had similar same issues while travelling in the outback. disbelief
