Brian & Lana
confuse Welcome to the Best part of life being retired and being a grandparent I have decided that had I known how good it was going to be being a Grandparent and being retired I would have skipped having kids and going straight to being a Grandparent and gone on the dole and done away with a lot of stress caused by 45 years of work.winkwinkwink

Isn't having grandchildren the absolute best!!!  I adore my grandchildren and having them has enriched my life so much.  I would say more than having my own girls even though it took 10 miscarriages to have them lol.

Absolutely not Womby.  In fact the more my doctors told me to give up the more determined I got and eventually it paid off, with my two gorgeous girls.  I could not imagine my life without them in it.smilesmilesmile

I don't even know the names of most of my grand kids as my ex wife insisted that the kids have no contact with me, but I now have many families around Australia and I often travel to their birthdays etc so I do understand what it may be like to have your own grand kids, but then I see some people who give up the best part of their lives where they should enjoy the fruits of their labours but they can not leave for even a few days as they baby sit a couple of days a week and they are needed to be around INCASE they are needed.

Nice to enjoy but also nice to get a way and do the things you have planned all your life.

Regards
Brian

Exactly Womby, they always think they are right but a person does know their own body and what it can withstand in my opinion anyway.
